Overall, I think this sketch turned out really well. The shading looks great and the linework is expressive and loose, which is a shocker considering how much I struggled with the leg positioning and that upper torso shift. Pretty tricky stuff, but this is why we practice, right?
Also, that dark background took quite a bit of time and doesn’t really add a lot to the final piece, so I’ll be shying away from dark backgrounds in the future.
